Social Media Session and Seasoned Pros at Hallmark

March 9, 2010

Learning, social media

Hey Gang,

I’m just back from giving my Social Media Marketing presentation to the students (entire school) at the Hallmark Institute of Photography -  located in Turner Falls, MA. I took this shot (HDR) of the main presentation room before my session started. Awesome facility.

More important are the awesome instructors at Hallmark. After my talk, I interviewed three of the residents pros – Michale Zide, David Turner and John Nordell – for our DPE podcast. Great info and great guys.

As bonus, I had the opportunity to interview Al Satterwhite, who was the afternoon speaker. Al will be on our show, too.

Stay tuned for these interviews! You don’t want to miss them.

Here are two images from my Social Media show that I use to illustrate two important points:

Use social media to get people to stampede to your site.

Don’t use social media and you might be left in the dust!

Speaking of John Nordell, the took the shot that’s below during my presentation. Tricky lighting and still a great shot! Thank you, John.

Explore the light,

Rick

P.S. I am giving the same presentation at the Palm Springs Photo Festival in two weeks. Hope to see you there. Also, my Social Media Marketing for Photographers DVD should be available soon.

    Dear Rick,
Great to see you and meet Susan. Thanks for the talk. I look forward to hearing the podcast. Should I ever need to borrow it for my own use, can this be done?
One small thing is the spelling of Michael. It is just slightly off on your announcement. You have it a little more exotically. Take care.

Thanks again for the talk, Rick! Your talk here at Hallmark was incredibly informative and, most importantly, you kept us all interested and awake :)
