The Big Picture Chronicles the Oil Spill Near Louisiana

As always, The Big Picture gathers up some amazing photography of what will most likely turn out to be the worst environmental disaster in the US. The result of the fire and subsequent sinking of a deepwater oil rig off the coast of the state of Louisiana, this oil spill has reached the shoreline and is threatening not only wildlife, but a large percentage of the seafood that the US consumes.
