    There is at least 1 big exception to your rule about people less rushed closer to the equator. You only have to look a little north and east. Check out the province of Newfoundland. You will be transported back to a much nicer time. There is nothing rushed other than maybe Mainlanders rushing for the ferry because the next maybe a day away.

    So much natural history and wonderful people and vistas.
