I just listened to this podcast. The image that Ken took is amazing and speaks for itself.
If anyone disagrees then consider this: Joe McNally, who is among the world’s best photographers, doesn’t know how to use Photoshop. He has people for that. Does that make him less of an amazing photographer? Certainly not…
Back in the days of slide film we took the images and sent them off to a processor who made color corection choices without us present. Does that mean those images are no longer my images because someone else enhanced or changed the color? No…
The end result is what matters. The process of how it got there is great to know but not necessary.
Of course it is a fully different story for photojournalism but that was not what this image is about.
Love the show as always.
