Today YouTube in collaboration with Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald have announced “Life in a Day” what they term to be “a historic cinematic experiment that will attempt to do just that: document one day, as seen through the eyes of people around the world.”

Sounds like a very neat experiment, where you get to submit some footage of your life as recorded on July 24th, you then submit your footage and “Kevin Macdonald, the Oscar-winning director of films such as The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void and One Day in September, will then edit the most compelling footage into a feature documentary film” the film will then be shown at the 2011 Sundance Film festival.

If you are so lucky to have your footage selected to be included in the film, you will be credited as a co-director of the film!

For more details visit the announcement page here.

Good luck!

P.S. Let us know if you submit any footage, we’d love to feature it here on DPE, even if it does not make the cut on the final film.
