Juan;
As always i loved the DPE podcast of 06.01.13. In talking about the dangers of variable ND filters you link to the Light Craft Workshop Fader ND filter. The company only lists Birns & Sawyer, Inc. (distributor)
Address:
5275 Craner Ave. North Hollywood CA 91601, USA
Tel: 323-466-8211
Fax: 323-466-7049
Website: http://www.birnsandsawyer.com
as the only distributor in US.
If I go to Adorama I can find the :
Light Craft Workshop 77mm Fader ND MK II Filter $130
http://www.adorama.com/FAHDVND77.html
but also I can find the:
Fader 77mm Variable HD ND Filter ND2 to ND400
http://www.adorama.com/FAHDVND77.html $299
Are these the same company or different? Which one do you recommend ( I think you want LCW )?
Have you found any color shift and softening of the image with these? Do you ever go past the 200mm they recommend to stay below?
Thanks very much and enjoy the summer in the NE.
David
